David Peterson & 1946 Join Brooks & Dunn's Neon Circus

David Peterson & 1946 are running off to join the circus. Sort of. The band, known for it's pure, unwaivering committment to old-time bluegrass, has been added to the high flying Brooks & Dunn Neon Circus, beginning April 25 and continuing into August. Peterson, whose self-titled release last year garnered tremendous acclaim, was beside himself with the news that his band had been added to some 40 dates on the tour. "We just can't believe it," he said. "This is a fantastic opportunity to take bluegrass music to a large new audience. We're just thrilled to be part of the whole thing." The coast to coast tour includes not only the country superstars and Peterson's band, but also up and coming country artists Jeff Bates, Aaron Lines, plus hitmakers Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts.

For Peterson & 1946, the tour also concides with the release of their third album, The Howling Blue Winds, which will be available for sale at the shows. It is also available at www.1946band.com. Peterson's energetic band includes Shayne Bartley (mandolin), Matthew Arnold (fiddle), Elmer Burchett, Jr., (banjo) and Preston Rumbaugh (bass).
